Sheila Riggs is an esteemed leader in dental care and women’s health, currently serving as Chair of the Department of Primary Dental Care at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry since February 2009. Riggs holds significant board positions including membership on the Board of Directors for both the Cargill Foundation and Benco Dental, a major dental services company. Riggs is also an active member and past president of the Women's Health Leadership TRUST and has been involved with the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable. Leadership experience includes chairing the Board of Directors at Hennepin Healthcare and serving on the Executive Committee for the Greater Twin Cities United Way. Previously, Riggs was President and CEO of Delta Dental of MN, overseeing dental benefits for millions. Academic credentials include a DMSc in Epidemiology from Harvard University and a DDS from the University of Iowa.
