Penny Wheeler is currently a Regent at the University of Minnesota, a position they have held since 2023. They previously served as the President and CEO of Allina Health from 2015 to 2022, and as Chief Clinical Officer at Allina from 2006 to 2015, where they focused on enhancing quality and operational performance in healthcare. Penny's extensive medical background includes over two decades as a Physician at Women's Health Consultants. They earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and completed their residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota, where they also received a Bachelor of Arts in Physiology.
