Maggie Flaten has extensive experience in higher education administration, currently serving as Assistant Chief of Staff and Advisor for Strategy and Initiatives in the Office of the President at the University of Minnesota since July 2016. This role involves liaising with senior leaders and providing strategic support for the MPact 2025 initiative. Previously, Maggie was a Board Associate in the Office of the Board of Regents, advising trustees and supporting key committees. Earlier experience includes managing events for the Carlson School of Management's Institutional Advancement team and advising MBA programs as a Student Affairs Coordinator. Maggie's career also includes roles as a Transfer Specialist at the University of Minnesota-Rochester and an Admissions Counselor at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Maggie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
