Makkie Haller currently serves as an International Student Advisor at the University of Maryland, a role held since May 2023. Prior to this, Makkie worked as a Graduate Assistant for Undergraduate Career Programming at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, providing career coaching to undergraduate students and supporting career events. Experience includes coordinating the Office of Student Conduct and working with the U.S. Department of State and various other organizations in communication and program development roles. Makkie holds a Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of Montana. Further studies included a year at Aberystwyth University and a program in Rabat, Morocco.
