Leandro Echt

Professor Of Policy And Politics Of Health at University of Maryland

Leandro Echt is a Professor of Policy and Politics of Health at the University of Maryland, where Leandro teaches the summer course in the MPH program. As an independent consultant, evaluator, and researcher in international development since 2014, Leandro has worked with several organizations, including INASP, On Think Tanks, and Purpose & Ideas, focusing on strengthening equitable ecosystems and facilitating processes for collective intelligence. Additional experience includes chairing the International Support Group from 2020 to 2022, serving as an adjunct faculty member at Tallahassee Community College, and acting as a Senior PMEL Advisor at Rutgers. Leandro has held teaching positions at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and coordinated programs at the Centro de Implementación de Políticas Públicas para la Equidad y el Crecimiento (CIPPEC). Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Development Management and Policy from Georgetown University, various diplomas in evaluation of public policies and gender justice, and degrees in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires.
