Hazel Montgomery-Walsh

Resident Assistant at University of Maryland

Hazel Montgomery-Walsh is currently a Resident Assistant at the University of Maryland, where responsibilities include fostering inclusive communities and monitoring resident well-being. As Technical Director, Hazel manages classroom camera technology to support remote engagement for engineering students. Experience includes serving as a Server at El Guapo Mexican Restaurant, as well as holding editorial roles in the Culture section and writing for the history section at The Observer UMD. Previous positions include Manager at Opie's Soft Serve and Snowballs, Election Judge for Prince George's County, and Congressional Intern for the United States Senate, where tasks involved writing memos and assisting constituents. Hazel has also contributed as a Researcher at the Stern Civic Engagement Lab, Social Chair for the Honors Humanities program, and Event Manager for Terps Against Hunger. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics with a minor in Mandarin Chinese at the University of Maryland, education includes a semester at Universidad Andres Bello.
