Debarati "Mimi" Majumdar Narayan PhD is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in community development, health impact assessments, and design education. Currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland since August 2021, Debarati has held significant roles at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where responsibilities included Officer and Principal Associate within the Health Impact Project. As the Founder and Director of Research and Strategies at Catalyze Research and Consulting from November 2012 to November 2017, Debarati provided strategic support to various organizations. Previous positions included quality assessment roles and instructional responsibilities at Arizona State University, where Debarati taught and developed undergraduate courses, alongside engaging in impactful research initiatives for improving affordable housing. Debarati holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning from Arizona State University, a Master of Science in Interior Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.
