Aaron Lott is an accomplished academic and industry professional specializing in quantum computing and machine learning. Serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland since May 2023 and previously as an instructor, Aaron contributes industry insights to the curriculum. Currently, as a Technical Area Lead at USRA since April 2020, responsibilities include managing quantum computing and high-performance computing R&D projects. Aaron's previous roles include Senior Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, Senior Applied Research Scientist at D-Wave Systems Inc., and extensive research experience at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and NIST. With a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation, complemented by executive education in Product Management from UC Berkeley, Aaron Lott possesses a robust foundation in computational methods and algorithm development.
