Philippe Lamesch is an experienced professional in the field of fundraising and scientific communications, currently serving as the Head of Fundraising at the University of Luxembourg since November 2018. Previously, Philippe held the position of Fundraising & Science Communications Officer at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine from April 2012 to December 2018. Philippe's early career includes a role as a Life Sciences Advisor at the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in San Francisco, where the focus was on identifying biotech companies for collaboration in Luxembourg's personalized medicine initiative. Prior to that, Philippe worked as a Scientific Curator and Genome Biologist at the Carnegie Institution for Science, enhancing plant genome annotations and collaborating on gene identification projects. Philippe earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Harvard Medical School and has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Université de Namur.
