Suzanne Palmer

Senior Research Development Manager at University of Liverpool

Suzanne Palmer currently serves as the Senior Research Development Manager at the University of Liverpool, contributing to the central Research and Partnerships team and acting as the PS liaison with EPSRC. With extensive experience in academia, Suzanne has held multiple roles at The University of the West Indies, including Honorary Consultant in the Department of Life Sciences, where collaboration with Caribbean postgraduates and coordination of a coral reef restoration project is ongoing. Previous positions include Academic Coordinator at the Port Royal Marine Laboratory and lecturer in Coral Reef Ecology. Additional research roles involve serving as a Visiting Researcher focused on extreme weather events in mangrove lagoons and participation in the IDB Coral Reef Restoration Program in Jamaica. Early career experience includes a Contract Research Fellow at the Mona GeoInformatics Institute and a Postdoctorate Researcher at the University of Chester. Educational credentials include a PhD in Coral Reef Geosciences and a BSc (Hons) in Geography, both from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
