Manhui Wang currently serves as the Head of Research IT Platforms in IT Services at the University of Liverpool, a position held since July 2017, following roles as Interim Head and Senior Research Computing Specialist. Responsibilities include managing advanced research computing infrastructure and high-performance computing applications, overseeing two HPC clusters and various Linux servers, and providing quality research computing services. Prior experience includes Research Associate positions at Cardiff University, where Manhui developed parallel code for geoenvironmental engineering software and contributed to the large-scale quantum chemistry package, Molpro. Education includes a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, alongside a Master's in Thermal Engineering and a Bachelor's in Applied Chemistry with a minor in Computer Science.
