Alex Widdeson has over 15 years of experience in higher education, currently serving as the Associate Director of Engagement and Innovation at the University of Liverpool since June 2008. This role encompasses customer services, marketing, and systems within Libraries, Museums, and Galleries. Previous positions include Associate Director of Innovation, User Insight & Marketing, Head of Insight for External Relations, Marketing and Communications, and Market Research Manager, where responsibilities included the design and management of primary research projects focused on student decision-making, brand tracking, and event evaluation. Prior to the University of Liverpool, Alex held the position of Market Intelligence Officer at the University of Central Lancashire and Edge Hill University. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies with English from Edge Hill University, obtained between 1999 and 2002.
