Sherry was born and raised in Newfoundland and moved to Alberta in 1997 finishing off her Bachelor of Arts, at the University of Lethbridge, as a visiting student. She attended again to complete a Bachelor of Management Degree, in 2001. It was this experience that inspired her philanthropy and support of students at the U of L, through the Sherry Davis Academic Award, established in 2017.

Sherry is a Senior Financial Advisor working in Southern Alberta for over 20 years, with one of the fastest growing investment firms of its kind in Western Canada, ATB Wealth.
