Sowmya Yellapragada is currently a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, contributing to the field of computer science since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Programming Analyst at Cognizant from March to July 2022, and as a Research Intern at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi in the summer of 2021. Additional internships in artificial intelligence and participation in the Qiskit Global Summer School with IBM highlight a solid foundation in technology. An early role as a Search Engine Optimizer for a celebrity QnA platform honed skills in traffic maximization and SEO strategies. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
