Josie Brown is the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and Hillyer College at the University of Hartford, a position held since 2024. Josie has previously served as Interim Dean, Professor of English, and Assistant Dean at Western New England University from 2009 to 2015. Additionally, Josie was Dean at Point Park University from 2022 to 2024. Josie earned a Ph.D. in English Literature from State University of New York at Stony Brook and has a BA in English & African American Studies from Bates College, along with an MA in English from Queens College.
