Melinda Scott

Vice Provost, Student Affairs at University of Guelph

Melinda Scott, PhD, currently serves as the Vice Provost of Student Affairs at the University of Guelph and has held a position as a Lecturer at the University of Toronto since June 2012, teaching various courses in Leadership, Higher, and Adult Education. Scott's extensive background in student affairs includes roles such as Executive Director of the Office of the Vice-Provost, Students at the University of Toronto, where responsibilities encompassed enhancing the student experience, advising on non-academic policies, and managing complex issues related to student life. Additional experiences include serving as Dean of Students and Director of Student Experience at George Brown College, along with various teaching and program development roles at Wilfrid Laurier University and Carleton University. Educational qualifications include a PhD and M.Ed. in Higher Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and a BA with Honours in Psychology from the University of Guelph.
