Stanley Rungwa has a background in environmental and applied chemistry, with experience as a lecturer at the University of Goroka and managing director at Eco Pacific Rural Development Foundation. Also, has worked as a senior technical officer and part-time tutor at PNG University of Technology. Holds a Master of Philosophy in Mining Environment - Phytoremediation and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Applied Chemistry.
