Dr. Juanita Hicks currently serves as the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at The University of Georgia, a position held since July 2023. Prior experience includes holding the title of Vice Chancellor of Human Resources at the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia from February 2019 to August 2023, and Deputy Director of Human Resources at the Georgia Institute of Technology from May 2018 to February 2019. Additional roles include Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Interim Director, and Assistant Director of Human Resources at the University of West Georgia, and Assistant Director of Human Resources at West Georgia Technical College. Dr. Hicks began their career in human resources as a Human Resources Coordinator at Saddle Creek Corporation and has held various positions in human resources since 2002. Dr. Hicks holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from The University of Georgia, a Master of Human Resource Development from Clemson University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of West Georgia.
