Brenda Cude

Professor Emeritus at University of Georgia

Brenda Cude, PhD, is a Professor Emeritus at The University of Georgia, where experience includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and serving as the departmental undergraduate coordinator, with a focus on consumer advocacy since August 1998. Cude also serves as a Consumer Representative for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners since 1994 and was a member of the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance from 2014 to 2016. Prior experience includes a role as Professor and Extension Specialist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1985 to 1998, specializing in consumer economics and personal finance education. Brenda Cude holds a PhD in Consumer Economics from Purdue University, along with a B.S. and M.S. in Home Economics Education and Consumer Economics, respectively, from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
