Garth Davies is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public affairs and press relations. Since January 2019, Garth has served as the Head of Press and Public Affairs at the University of Exeter. Prior roles include Associate Director of Communications and Engagement at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and Chief Press Officer at 10 Downing Street. Garth also held positions as EU Communications Manager for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Campaign Manager in the Public Health and Behaviour Change Team at the Department of Health and Social Care. An early career involved roles in digital content editing and market research. Garth holds a Master of Arts in Modern History from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from the same institution.
