Olena Smith is a seasoned geospatial information professional with extensive experience in database administration and geospatial technology. Currently serving as the Lead Geospatial Information Consultant at the University of Delaware since July 2015, Olena supports campus GIS projects in both research and administrative capacities. Olena's prior roles include a Senior GeoBase Database Administrator at Booz Allen Hamilton, contributing to pivotal projects such as the Joint Information Exchange Environment for the National Guard Bureau. With a solid foundation in spatial database administration from positions within the United States Air Force and Northrop Grumman Corporation, Olena has honed expertise in managing and maintaining complex geospatial databases. Furthermore, Olena has an educational background in GIS, holding a master's degree from Western Michigan University and experience as a GIS software instructor at ESRI.
