Art Trembanis is a Professor and Deputy Director at the Center for Autonomous and Robotic Systems (CARS) at the University of Delaware, where involvement focuses on the application of systems theory, automatic control, and artificial intelligence to address real-life challenges and promote a sustainable environment. Additionally, Art Trembanis serves as the Faculty Lead for MakerGym, supporting innovative projects within the Maker Network. With a strong background in marine science, Art Trembanis holds a PhD from William & Mary and has experience as Director of the Coastal Sediments Hydrodynamics and Engineering Lab since 2005. Previous educational accomplishments include a Fulbright in Coastal Geology from the University of Sydney and a BS in Geology and Oceanography from Duke University.
