Amy Tanaka is an experienced human resources professional with a comprehensive background in labor relations, employment services, and career development. Currently serving as the Director of Labor and Employee Relations at the University of Dayton since July 2013, Tanaka manages grievances, collective bargaining, and works closely with non-academic units to address workforce climate issues. Previous roles include Manager of Employment and Outreach, Manager of Employment Services, and Assistant Director of Career Services at the University of Dayton, where Tanaka focused on strengthening relationships with various agencies and enhancing recruitment strategies. Prior experience as the Director of Human Resources at EMCOR Facilities Services involved overseeing HR policy implementation for a large workforce across multiple states. Tanaka holds an MEd in Executive Human Resources Development from Xavier University and a BA in Communication from Hanover College.
