Jill is originally from Carlisle and a graduate of Manchester Polytechnic where she gained a First Class Honours Degree in Retail Marketing.

She is a member of the CIPD with over 25 years experience in HR.

Since May 2018, Jill has been Head of People and Culture for the Cumberland Building Society.

Prior to that Jill held a variety of senior positions for organisations including the Guardian Media Group and Border Television.
