Jorge Silva serves as the Associate Vice President for Communications at the University of California Office of the President since November 2022. Prior roles include Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for Human Services at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Advisor to US Senator Jacky Rosen. Silva has held several communication-focused positions, including Vice President for Communications at Latino Victory Project, Director of Hispanic Media for Hillary For America, and Senior Advisor for Hispanic Media to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Silva's early career included roles at Monterey Bay Aquarium and volunteer work for the Barack Obama campaign, alongside experience as an Immigration Consultant and Manager at True Confections. Silva holds multiple advanced degrees in International Trade and Development Policy from Middlebury College and Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, as well as a law degree from ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara.
