Tony Qu is a DDS/PhD candidate at the University of California, San Francisco, with a focus on Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, under the guidance of advisors Licia Selleri, MD, PhD and Georgia Panagiotakos, PhD. Qu has co-founded OverCOME Mentors, a non-profit organization, and served as a Fifty 50 member in the 2023 cohort. In previous roles, Qu worked as a Technology Analyst at UCSF Innovation Ventures and participated in the Catalyst Awards Internship Program. Prior research experience at the University of California, Berkeley included projects in the Ehud Isacoff Lab, Scott Baraban Lab, and Rich Schneider Lab, concentrating on neuroanatomy and molecular mechanisms related to zebrafish. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
