Ian Lewis currently serves as the Director of the Alberta Centre for Advanced Diagnostics and holds the position of Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. Additionally, Ian is the Alberta Innovates Translational Health Chair in Metabolomics and has been the founder and CEO of Rapid Infection Diagnostics Inc. since its inception in 2019, aimed at advancing diagnostic technologies to combat infectious diseases. Ian's background includes work as a Lab Scientist at the Creative Destruction Lab, a Lecturer and Postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University, and a Graduate Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where a PhD in Biochemistry was earned. Ian's early career featured roles such as an Epidemiology Intern at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and a Laboratory Technician at the Center for Limnology. Educational qualifications include a BS in Biology from Fort Lewis College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University.
