Marwa Makhlouf is a skilled researcher currently serving as a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Birmingham since October 2024. Prior to this role, Marwa held positions as a Senior Research Associate at The American University in Cairo and as a Mixed Methods Researcher for UNDP's Accelerator Lab, where key contributions included leading significant research projects focused on finance, rural resilience, and youth engagement in climate change. Earlier experience spans roles such as Research Lead at Capiter, where Marwa utilized qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate customer experience in operations, and as a Research Officer at The American University in Cairo working on UN Women’s “Safe Cities” program. Marwa has also collaborated with organizations like the International Labour Organization and UN Women, demonstrating expertise in mixed methods research, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Marwa's academic background includes an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics with a Minor in Psychology from The American University in Cairo.
