Juan Carlos Castro is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of architecture, currently serving as a Profesor Ayudante Doctor at Universidad de Alicante since September 2015, specializing in Proyectos Arquitectónicos. Additionally, Juan Carlos has been the Director of Fab Lab Alicante, a digital manufacturing research laboratory linked to the university's Department of Graphic Expression and Cartography, since November 2013. As a co-founder and architect at Barbarela Studio since 2004, Juan Carlos focuses on integrating energy, the environment, and sustainability in architectural solutions. Juan Carlos holds a Master's degree in Complex Architectures from Universitat d'Alacant and an Architect degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with ongoing studies for a Doctorate in Architecture at Universitat d'Alacant.
