Jeremy Theal serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta and as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Alberta Health Services, contributing to strategic leadership in healthcare information systems. As a Climate Reality Leader with The Climate Reality Project, concern for the impacts of climate change is prominent, particularly regarding future generations. Previous roles include Chief Medical Information Officer and Staff Gastroenterologist at North York General Hospital, where Jeremy Theal advanced healthcare outcomes through innovative information systems. In addition, Jeremy has lectured at the University of Toronto and led clinical systems initiatives for the Ontario Ministry of Health. With extensive medical training encompassing multiple specialties, including gastroenterology and internal medicine, education includes a recent certificate from Harvard Medical School in safety, quality, informatics, and leadership.
