Susan Coan currently serves as the Executive Director of Organizational Learning & Development at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, a position held since March 2014. Previously, Susan was the Director of Organizational Learning & Development at the same institution and has extensive experience in performance and executive coaching from roles at Lee Hecht Harrison and Susan Coan Consulting. Other notable positions include Director of Performance Development at Protective Life, where Susan managed a nationwide learning and development team, and Instructor for the Undergraduate Business Internship Program at Samford University. Additionally, a significant part of Susan’s career was spent at Booz Allen Hamilton, directing organization development and training for a global workforce. Susan holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication from The Ohio State University.
