Shibajyoti (Shiv) Das currently serves as a Program Specialist III at UCAR and a Program Specialist at NOAA, both since September 2021. Prior experience includes the role of Graduate Research Assistant at Syracuse University from August 2015 to July 2021. Shibajyoti also held research positions as a Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Kolkata and as a Summer Research Fellow at the CSIR National Institute of Oceanography. Earlier research involvement includes studying circadian rhythms in Drosophila melanogaster at JNCASR. Shibajyoti earned a PhD in Geology/Earth Science from Syracuse University in May 2022, following an integrated BS-MS in Earth Science from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research from 2010 to 2015, and a high school degree from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Viveknagar from 2000 to 2010.
