Bonnie Meinke currently serves as the Director of External Engagement and Business Development at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research since September 2023, and holds a board member position at CO-LABS, Inc. since March 2024. Additionally, Bonnie is a member of the Science and Operations Advisory Committee at the Polar Geospatial Center. Prior to these roles, Bonnie contributed significantly to the NEON Program as the Associate Director for Science Engagement, and managed new business pursuits in Astrophysics and Planetary Science at Ball Aerospace. Bonnie's previous experience includes serving as the JWST Project Scientist at the Space Telescope Science Institute, where strategic outreach and communications were directed for NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. Earlier roles included the DPS Education Officer at the American Astronomical Society and a Gallery Facilitator at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.
