Eduardo Bento Pereira is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei, where work focuses on automation and control systems, particularly in distributed control and fault-tolerant control. Previously, Eduardo served as the Robotics and Assistive Technology Group Manager at Gerdau Açominas from June 2000 to May 2005, during which responsibilities included maintenance planning and industrial electronics systems with a focus on automation and instrumentation. Eduardo holds a Research Doctorate and a Master's degree in Control and Systems from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), as well as a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei and an Electronic Technician qualification from Escola Técnica Municipal Os Padres do Trabalho.
