Tiago Collares is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as the Gerente de Ensino e Pesquisa do Hospital Escola and Professor Associado at Universidade Federal de Pelotas, where involvement spans multiple roles including Diretor do Centro de Desenvolvimento Tecnológico (CDTec) and Coordenador do PPG Biotecnologia. In addition, Tiago Collares holds the position of Coordenador da área de Biotecnologia at CAPES since 2023, following prior experience as Coordenador Adjunto within the same organization from 2018 to 2022. Tiago Collares has been the Editor in Chief of Animal Biotechnology Journal at Taylor & Francis Group since 2019, and previously coordinated the Graduation program in Biotecnologia at Universidade Federal de Pelotas from 2008 to 2012.
