Giovani Bernardes Vitor

Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal de Itajubá

Giovani Bernardes Vitor is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of robotics, mechatronics, and automation engineering. Currently serving as a Visiting Researcher at Universidade Estadual de Campinas since January 2021, Vitor focuses on industrial mobile robots within the Laboratory of Autonomous Mobility. As an Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal de Itajubá since February 2017, Vitor leads the Laboratory of Robotics, Intelligent and Complex Systems. Previously, Vitor held the position of Visitor Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal de Lavras, mentoring a notable project on multisensory perception systems for terrestrial vehicles, and co-heading the Terrestrial Mobility Laboratory. Vitor's research expertise was further developed during a tenure as a Research Engineer at CNRS, contributing to the PRETIV project on intelligent vehicles. Vitor's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in robotics and computer science, showcasing a robust foundation in the technical aspects of the field.
