Alonso Astroza Tagle possesses extensive experience in the fields of data science and machine learning, currently serving as Deputy Director of Industry Partnerships at the Data Science Institute of Universidad del Desarrollo since June 2019, where responsibilities include bridging academic research and industrial applications through innovative collaborative projects. In addition, Alonso lectures in the Data Science Master's Program, focusing on the development of data products and projects utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Previously, Alonso held senior data scientist roles at GeoVictoria, leading the development of data-driven technological solutions for enterprise clients in Latin America and specializing in voice biometrics and data visualization for retail. Alonso's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Chile, complemented by research experience in machine learning applications across various state-funded and private projects.
