María Beatriz García Flores is a scientific researcher at Universidad de Extremadura since February 2024, focusing on early warning networks for remote sensing of climate change hazards utilizing earth observation satellites. Previously, María worked as a data scientist at SOLUTE from December 2022 to January 2024, contributing to atmospheric predictions through advanced numerical prediction models and machine learning techniques. María's experience also includes a role as a data engineer and scientist at Ayesa, where expertise was applied in big data integration on cloud platforms. María holds a Master's Degree in Engineering and Data Science from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia and a Bachelor's degree in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics from Universidad de Extremadura, complemented by additional studies in the same field at Universidad de Granada.
