Suman Gopalan is an experienced HR leader and consultant with a diverse background in talent strategy, performance coaching, and organizational development. Currently serving as a Board Member at Unitus Capital and a Member of the CNBC Workforce Executive Council, Suman previously held the position of Chief HR Officer at Freshworks from April 2018 to September 2023. Prior to this, Suman worked as a consultant and advisor in Chennai, India, focusing on leadership development and executive coaching. Notable past roles include Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa at The Nielsen Company, and various HR leadership positions at Dell Inc., where strategic organization development was a key focus. Suman began the career at Whirlpool India Ltd. as a Manager in Human Resources and holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
