Attended Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He began working in the construction industry for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company in 1975. Rod worked for Matherly Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in 1976 and became a pipefitter apprentice in the same year. His first job experience as an apprentice was with United Mechanical, where his work experience has grown from a pipefitter apprentice, advancing to service technician, service manager, and then estimator/project manager. He currently serves as President of the Construction Division and is a partner in the business. Projects that Rod has managed over the years include the Christian Renewal Center, One Central Park, First National Bank Chiller Replacement, and numerous other projects.
