Pierre Evans is a highly experienced database professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Senior Database Engineer at UnitedHealth Group since July 2021, Pierre previously held the position of DBA III at ServiceMaster from June 2016 to July 2021, where support was provided for UDB, Cassandra, and MongoDB. Prior to that, a significant tenure at AutoZone lasted from October 1998 to June 2016, focusing on maintaining the UDB Data Warehouse and various databases including Red Brick, Informix, MySQL, Postgres, Greenplum, and Oracle. Pierre began as the first Database Administrator at Life Of Jamaica, Ltd. from May 1992 to September 1998, managing a DB2 database on an IBM SP2 system. Earlier career experience includes a role as Programmer/Analyst at Decision Support Systems from May 1986 to May 1992, where programming in Thoroughbred BASIC and supporting business applications were key responsibilities. Pierre holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing & Management from CAST/UTECH, and additional education credentials from CAST and Kingston College.
