Meighan Sommer serves as the Associate Director of Partnership Development at United Way of the Alberta Capital Region since August 2023. Previously, Meighan held various leadership positions at Alberta Health Services, including Director of Provincial Continuing Care and Coordinated Access from May 2018 to November 2023. Additional experience includes roles as Project Manager at Covenant Health Canada, Health Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Health for the Government of Alberta, and multiple positions at Alberta Health Services, including Workforce Analyst. Meighan's earlier roles encompass Teaching Assistant at the University of Alberta's School of Public Health and Research Coordinator at the Alberta Centre for Child, Family & Community Research. Educated at the University of Alberta, Meighan holds a Master of Public Health with a focus on Policy and Management, a Bachelor of Science, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
