Strategic Initiatives Lead at United Way of King County

Brittney Davis has a diverse work experience that spans several organizations and roles. Brittney started their career at America Reads & America Counts, where they worked as a Tutor, providing academic support to upper elementary and middle school students. Brittney then moved on to the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center, where they served as a Kids Gym Attendant, supervising children during their parents' workouts.

Brittney also worked at the Heartland Senior Services of Story County, Iowa, as an Activity Assistant/Administrative Assistant. In this role, they assisted in the development and execution of activities and events for aging adults, managed social media websites, and conducted data entry.

Brittney then took on the position of Lead Nursery Teacher at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Ames. Here, they provided nursery care for infants and toddlers, developed curriculum, and supervised nursery assistants.

Brittney also gained experience at The Healing Center Seattle as a Development Manager, assisting in fundraising efforts, creating donor stewardship and appeal plans, and contributing to social media and blog posts. Brittney'smost recent position was at the United Way of King County, where they held multiple roles. Initially, they served as a Development Operations Coordinator, where they supported the major gifts team, managed solicitations and donor thank you letters, and built and maintained advanced queries using CRM.

Brittney then advanced to the role of Prospect Researcher, collaborating with major gift fundraisers and creating profiles for current and prospective high-value donors. Brittney also analyzed and evaluated the success of donor acquisition and retention.

After that, Brittney became a Portfolio Manager, overseeing a stewardship portfolio of $10,000+ loyal donors. Brittney also created and managed a donor growth and acquisition pipeline, managing a fundraising team to move donors up from the $750 level to the $1M+ level.

Brittney'smost recent position has been as the Associate Director, Donor Services, where they ensure that donors to United Way of King County have a positive experience, regardless of their contribution size or vehicle. Brittney serves as the administrative and operations lead for the Development Team and provides project management support and administrative consultation to the Major Gifts and Corporate and Foundation Relations Teams.
