Kim Lance, RVT, CVPM, Elite FFCP has over 20 years of experience in the veterinary industry. Kim started their career as a Veterinary Technician at Greater Charleston Emergency Vet in 2002, where they specialized in emergency and critical care. Kim then worked at Veterinary Medical Care, LLC as a Practice Manager and Veterinary Technician, providing specialized nursing to critical patients.
In 2006, Kim joined Cabarrus Emergency Veterinary Clinic, PLLC as a Practice Manager and Veterinary Technician, where they were responsible for practice management duties and staffing the emergency room. Kim stayed with the company for almost a decade.
In 2015, Kim transitioned to a role as a Territory Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim, where they utilized their product knowledge to promote BI products and analyze territory information for optimized sales calls. After a year and a half, they moved on to Premier Vet Alliance as a Regional Sales Training Manager. Here, they provided consultative services to veterinary practices on wellness plans and performed financial analysis on the profitability of these plans.
Kim's career then shifted towards practice management and administration. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Hospital Administrator at Piedmont Emergency and Referral Center (VMI), providing direct assistance to the owners and managing client, employee, and community relations. During this time, they also joined Veterinary Management Incorporated (VMI) as Chief Hospital Administrator, overseeing the development, planning, and implementation of new general practice launches. Kim managed and supported managers and medical directors at previously launched locations.
In 2020, Kim became a Hospital Operations Leader at Encore Vet Group, where they analyzed, developed, and implemented financial, marketing, and growth strategies for multiple locations. Kim'srole included prioritizing and communicating initiatives and coaching and motivating employees to increase engagement and commitment.
Most recently, Kim joined Veterinary Consulting and Team Solutions, LLC in 2018 as a Veterinary Practice Consultant. Kim provides custom, solution-focused, consultative services to veterinary practice owners and their teams. Kim'sresponsibilities include creating and implementing training programs, launching clinic initiatives, and developing custom solutions for the challenges of veterinary practice. Kim also designs and delivers presentations on practice management and clinical topics.
In 2022, Kim joined United Veterinary Care as a Resource Optimization Manager. At this company, they focus on optimizing resources and maximizing efficiency.

Kim Lance, RVT, CVPM, Elite FFCP, has a strong educational background in veterinary technology and hospital management. Kim obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they pursued further education and completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Veterinary Technology and Hospital Management from the same institution, studying from 2013 to 2015.
In addition to their educational background, Kim Lance has acquired several certifications in their field. Kim became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) through the NCVMB in October 2013. Moreover, they are a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) through the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, a credential they obtained in August 2016. Demonstrating their commitment to exceptional patient care, they also became a Fear Free Certified Professional - Elite Certification holder, granted by Fear Free LLC in August 2017. Lastly, in May 2017, they acquired certification in Hyperbaric Therapy through Hyperbaric Veterinary Medicine (HVM).
