Mirna Galic is a seasoned policy analyst with extensive experience in international relations, particularly focused on China and East Asia. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the United States Institute of Peace since June 2021, Mirna also holds the position of Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs and previously at the Atlantic Council. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, where guidance was provided to the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. Additional positions include a Special Advisor on Counter-Terrorism at the United Nations Office of the Secretary-General and Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to Senator Russ Feingold. Mirna's academic credentials include a Master of Public Affairs in International Relations from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
