Calin Trenkov-Wermuth, Ph.D., serves as a Security Governance Advisor at the United States Institute of Peace since April 2019. Previously, positions included Political Affairs Officer in the Policy and Coordination Unit at the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, and roles as Visiting Fellow at The Norwegian Nobel Institute, and Levermore Global Scholars Research Fellow at Adelphi University. Calin Trenkov-Wermuth has experience with the United Nations' Security Sector Reform Unit as a Coordination Officer and has held academic positions as Senior Program Coordinator at New York University's Center on International Cooperation and Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and various scholarly associations, including TAPIR Fellowships at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs and RAND Corporation.
