David Kupfer is a licensed clinical psychologist with an extensive career in both clinical practice and advocacy. As the owner of an independent practice since 1994, David specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy with a focus on anxiety disorders. David has also served as the Legislative Advocacy Chair for Northern Virginia Clinical Psychologists since 2007, promoting engagement among local psychologists in legislative matters. David’s earlier roles include serving as President and co-founder of Tidewater Psychotherapy Services and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Florida. Additionally, David is actively involved as a volunteer with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Georgia and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
