Lea Zeise has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of sustainability and agriculture. Lea has held positions such as Assistant Director of Office of Environmental Resource Management at United South and Eastern Tribes, where they are currently employed. Previously, they worked as an Agriculture Program Manager at the same organization. Lea also gained experience as the Eastern Region Technical Assistance Specialist and Marketing & Logistics Specialist at the Intertribal Agriculture Council. Prior to that, they worked at the UW-Madison Office of Sustainability as the Operations Outreach and Marketing Coordinator. Additionally, Lea served as the Outreach and Marketing Coordinator at We Conserve - UW-Madison and co-founded the Awalu Group, a green company. Lea also worked at Lands' End as a Sustainability Engineer and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Project Manager and Grant Fellow. Lea's earlier experience includes being a Teaching Assistant at the Wisconsin School of Business and working as Farm Help at Tsyunhehkwa Farm.
Lea Zeise pursued their higher education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2006 to 2011. During this time, they obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on International Engineering and Technical Communication. Additionally, in 2009, Lea attended the DTU - Technical University of Denmark for a brief period, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree or pursued any specific field of study there.
