Stanton Longenecker, MD, has extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery and consulting, currently serving as a member of OrthoEdge since August 2019 and as an evaluator for United Orthopedic Corporation since September 2017. Longenecker has been involved with Zimmer and DonJoy Orthopaedics since 2007, contributing to the design of innovative orthopaedic products, including the Gender Knee and the Taperfill Total Hip Stem. Recognized for community service, Longenecker received the Order of the Cornette from St. Vincents Medical Center and the Community Service Award from the Duval County Medical Society. Additional involvement includes board membership at Jacksonville Skeet and Trap, participation at the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute since 1986, and past membership on the board of We Care Jacksonville, Inc. Longenecker was honored as the Dr. Cade Sportsmedicine Person of the Year by the National Athletic Trainers Association in 2011 and holds an MD from Tulane University School of Medicine, completed with a fellowship in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic.
