Siddharth Chatterjee 常启德 is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international development and humanitarian coordination, currently serving as the UN Resident Coordinator to China since August 2016. Previously, Siddharth held the position of UN Resident Coordinator to Kenya, where responsibilities included coordinating all UN operational activities. Prior roles include Representative at the UNFPA, Chief Diplomat and Head of Strategic Partnerships at the IFRC, and Regional Director at UNOPS. Early career experiences include key leadership positions within various UN agencies, including UNICEF in Somalia and the UN Assistance Mission in Iraq. Siddharth's military background as a Major in the Special Forces of the Indian Army complements a strong educational foundation, including a Master’s in Public Policy from Princeton University and military strategic studies training.
